*For this week, I will be sharing deep, philosophical statements about life and writing through haiku.

*Disclaimer: “Deep”, “Philosophical”, “Life”, “Writing” and “Haiku” may be approximate statements not tied to dictionary meanings. The author is not responsible for any eye-rolling related injuries.

If you would like to see my non-artistic statements, I have also written a fantasy novel, The Guests of Honor. It is available here.

    • I’m glad that you enjoyed it! Haiku don’t always have to be deathly serious – there were a lot of classic haiku with a sense of humour. I hope that he has a lot of fun writing his.

If he’s having trouble thinking of what to write, some topics I’ve used in the past when I was volunteering to teach kids about how to write poetry included (if he’s a teenager- ignore this!): My Dirty Socks, What A Leaf Looks Like Close Up, and If I Could Have A Strange Pet.
