Cat Amesbury is determined to write contemporary adult fables that draw inspiration from Lewis Carroll, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and her life in the North.
Cat has lived in both the small town and the big city, but knows that all the best mysteries are hidden where you least expect them. Her thoughts and stories are drawn from a lifetime of looking underneath the rocks and inside the trees rather than where she was actually going.

Hi there…
Welcome to the world of blogging. Was delighted to see you draw inspiration Douglas Adams’ ‘Hitch Hiker’s Guide,’ one of my favourite books of all time.
Thank you!
The scene with the falling whale and petunia in the first book is still one of my favourite book moments of all time. I think that most things could be improved by a bit of inspiration from Douglas Adams. 🙂
Hi Cat, I like what you do. So much so, that I’m nominating you for a Liebster Award. Yay! Should you choose to accept, check out this post on http://www.bookgirl.com.au
Aw, thank you so much! I am going to use your lovely, thoughtful questions in a blog post on Sunday. I’m going to organize it a little bit differently, but I hope that the spirit of a warm, internet hug will come across. 🙂
That’s sounds great, just letting you know how much I appreciate your words. 🙂
